Job description
Position Overview:
Exciting opportunities are available for individuals seeking to make a positive impact as Disability Support Workers with CISP Specialised Care in our SIL (Supported Independent Living) arrangements, respite care, and community services. As a crucial member of our team, you will be involved in providing 24-hour care, encompassing morning (from 6 am), afternoon (from 2 pm), and sleepover shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care Assistance:
Provide support for personal activities, including hygiene assistance. Administer medication and offer necessary assistance. Assist with manual handling when required.
Domestic Assistance:
Offer support with domestic tasks to ensure a comfortable living environment.
Meal Assistance:
Assist participants with meal preparation and related activities.
Behavioral Support:
Implement and follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) for clients with complex challenging behaviors.
Community Engagement:
Assist participants in engaging in community, social, and recreational activities. Transport participants to community-based outings using company or personal vehicles.
Group and 1-on-1 Support:
Provide support in both group and 1-on-1 settings, catering to individual needs.

Requirements:
Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant qualification). Australian Driver's License. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certification. NDIS Worker Screening Check. Working with Children Check for paid employment. National Police Check obtained within the last 12 months or willingness to apply. NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion. Fully vaccinated against Covid19.
